What can I say? They’re better than bad TV. They guy and dolls on the Flagler Beach Commissioner have little clue to how silly and down right contemptuous they are for the Marjory of the human and non-human being in Flagler Beach. My dog has better sense. They are ignoramuses – Ignorare – they do not know or for that matter do they take no notice of what the say and do. They believe that they were not elected to service the good, but pursue a selfish interest for the few.
Right now I can only think of one artist living in the Flagler Beach area – Roy Carruthers. If you have not google his name do so. Roy has a long history and sold in galleries from New York to Miami. Once you see a Roy Carruthers you instantly know his style – he created it.  I know you have seen his work before Yes we have a mayor here, she just got re-elected for a three year term. She was no my choice and I can’t believe that the people of Flagler Beach refuse to wake up and see that we need to change the direction this Mayor is directing us. She will say that…well you know I got 60% of the vote and so on and so on. I say she got 60% of what? Not 60% of the registered voters, not 60% of the citizen that live here and certainly not 60% of those that do live here that and are trying to make a living here.
Palm trees are nice and we do have a few here, not coconut palm trees like South Florida, but Palm Tress. I know they look a little ragged but it is Flagler Beach. What I am trying to say is Enough already with the Palm Tree Art. Here is a little important fact about the arts and lifestyles. Did you know that community that devote time and expenses to the art have a healthier life style than those that do not? Well it is true. People that enjoys the arts – visual arts, and preforming arts live longer. Why? Because art allows for you, the viewer to escape from yourself. And if you are like me, that would be a great escape. Or if you are even more like me, it gives you a chance to escape those that don’t support the arts. So, living longer is a good thing if you are happy and guest what? Pepole that support the arts are happier than those that do not. Hard to believe? Well it is true. So, supporting the art in Flagler Beach is good for you and good for the commuity and good for business. |
